Answers to Your Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
Have a question about our analysis process, data privacy, or how to get the most out of our tool? We've got you covered.
- How does the scoring really work?
-
Our scoring is a multi step process. First, we evaluate your profile against three core pillars: Hard Requirements (like education), Core Competencies (experience, projects, impact), and Supporting Factors (skills and profile polish). The AI analyzes the evidence in your profile for each category to assign a score, ensuring it's based on what you've provided, not just arbitrary keywords.
- Why did my score change when I only changed my target role?
-
This is the core feature of our tool! The AI's evaluation rubric is context-aware. The "Core Competencies" pillar has its importance dynamically weighted based on the role. For a 'Software Developer', your projects are critical and weighed heavily. For a 'Sales Manager', your experience quality and career progression are far more important. The score changes because the definition of a "perfect" profile changes with the job.
- In Recruiter Mode, why would a candidate with a score of 90 be ranked higher than one with 92?
-
This mimics a real world hiring decision. The Recruiter Mode uses a two step process. First, it generates an objective raw score for every resume. Then, it takes the top candidates and performs a holistic final review. In this second step, the AI acts as a senior hiring manager and can weigh qualitative factors, such as career stability vs. job hopping. It may decide that the candidate with the 90 score is a lower-risk, better long-term hire than the 92-point candidate who has red flags, resulting in a higher final rank.
- Is my data saved or stored?
-
No. We are deeply committed to your privacy. All profile and resume data you provide is used only for the duration of your active session to generate your analysis. The data is transmitted securely for processing and is not logged or stored on our servers. Every session is anonymous and independent.
- Can I get the exact same score twice?
-
We have engineered our prompts to be as consistent as possible, but due to the probabilistic nature of large language models, minor variations in scoring and feedback can occasionally occur. This reflects the subjective element present in any human evaluation process. However, the core analysis based on our rubric should remain highly consistent.
- How does the system calculate my years of experience?
-
Our system uses an intelligent parsing algorithm that identifies date ranges in your experience text using multiple patterns: month-year formats like "Feb 2019 – Present", standard ranges like "2019-2023", parenthetical ranges like "(2015-Present)", and flexible formats within job descriptions. It calculates the total unique years worked across all positions, properly handling overlaps and various date formats. The system looks for patterns like "Lead Engineer – Company (Feb 2019 – Present)" and "Jan 2015 – Jan 2019". If there's a significant discrepancy between your reported experience and what we calculate from your text, the system will flag this as a consistency issue that may affect your score.
- What happens if I see a "Score Validation Failed" error?
-
Our system includes built-in validation to ensure all scores stay within their defined limits (Hard Requirements: 0-25, Core Competencies: 0-50, Supporting Factors: 0-25, Total: 0-100). If you see this error, it means the AI generated scores that exceed these boundaries, which should not normally happen. This is a protective measure to maintain scoring integrity. If you encounter this error, please try submitting your analysis again. If the problem persists, please contact our support team as it may indicate a technical issue that needs attention.
